Ben Burns

Ben Burns is a Family Life Speaker and Campus Crusade staff member who has been on staff longer than most of us have been alive: 22 years. Currently Ben is the Director of Campus Crusade for Christ’s College Prep Seminars. Ben gives College Life 101 seminars to high school students across the country to prepare them for the moral and spiritual challenges ahead of them. Ben’s article, “Helping Seniors Finish Strong” was featured in Networker Magazine. He has also appeared as a guest on the Family Life Today radio program. Ben has actively been ministering to college students since 1986, having spent time at The University of Washington and Lewis and Clark College, as well as many others. Ben received his MA in Exegetical Theology from Western Seminary and is also a professional improv comedian for Comedy Sportz.

Ben, his wife, Janet, and three kids live in Portland, Oregon. Together Ben and Janet speak at Family Life’s Weekend To Remember marriage conferences around the country.

There are a variety of quirks and talents that make Ben eligible to be a speaker at BWC. He owns his very own 1960 Westinghouse Coke Machine. Whenever he desires a coke in the original 16oz bottle at a chill 34 degrees, it’s right at his fingertips. Ben also has the ability to do over 50 different voices, can deliver telegrams as Frank Sinatra, and enjoys dressing up as Gumby.
