Ambassadors
Would you like to be a BWC Ambassador?
Have you been to BWC and loved it? You can share the same amazing experience with your friends. You can help them grow in their relationship with Jesus and enjoy some cool “insider” privileges.
BWC Ambassadors together have the opportunity to invest two valuable commodities in helping others to attend the conference – time and energy. You’re probably busier than ever before, so we don’t take your investment for granted! In light of this, we want to be up front about what we’re asking of you in the coming months:
1. Grab some friends that are excited about the conference and meet together once a week to pray for each other, your campuses and for BWC.
2. Set some goals and take time to dream.
How many people would you like to see at the conference this year? What would it mean for these individuals to come to BWC in terms of their own faith journeys and the impact it can have on your campuses and the world? What is it that keeps people from attending the conference?
3. Team up with your Staff Coach in person or on the phone.
Talk about the resources the Staff Team can use towards getting students to the conference. What has worked in the past? Brainstorm new ideas as well. How can you use student gatherings (i.e. Small Groups, Fall Retreat, Coaching/Mentoring Meetings, Weekly/ Monthly Area Gathering) to communicate what BWC is to students? How will you use resources like the conference brochure, Facebook, Youtube and the internet to get the word out?
4. Attend your Fall Retreat.
BWC Ambassadors + Fall Retreat = a splendid match. When everyone gets away to spend time as a community and hear from the Lord in the midst of the fall term, an opening occurs allowing us to share more about the upcoming winter conference. We need you there to be a part of creating this opportunity.
5. Implement your goals by setting up a timeline and assigning roles to share the responsibility as a group.
Cover your progress at your weekly BWC Ambassador time.
6. Off we go! There’s no time like right now. We can’t wait to see you all at BWC 2011!
Now, we know it’s enough that you’re doing this from the goodness of your heart and because you heart BWC; but we thought we’d add a little somethin’ to sweeten the deal… Here goes…
During the conference we will host a coffee talk with the speakers. All the ambassadors are invited to come to a late-night hangout with the speakers, where you’ll get good coffee, cookies, and great conversation.
We are almost ready to announce a concert that you will have a free ticket for.
And, we are inviting all ambassadors to a Leadership Summit in the late spring back at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. At this summit you will be able to shape the future of the BWC and the future of the ministry in the Northeast.
We can’t wait to see how God will help you connect with students from your campus area to make BWC an exciting collaboration of students from the Northeast and beyond. We long to see more people catch a vision for what God + them + others can do to change the world. We’ll be in touch in the coming months and we’ll see you in January!
